Mounjaro Prescribing Update

As you will be aware from recent News articles, private pharmacies will be increasing their prices for the weight loss injection Mounjaro.
This has resulted in an increase of queries with the surgery regarding the issuing of Mounjaro via the NHS.

Important notice for patients.
Mid & South East Essex ICB has not commissioned this practice to prescribe Mounjaro for weight management purposes.
While some patients may have received Mounjaro under previous or historic arrangements, these are not being newly initiated and only existing prescribing arrangements remain in place at this time.
