Prescriptions

These can be requested via:

• the pharmacy
• through the online system (SystmOnline)
• email to the surgery, ashingdon.prescriptions@nhs.net.   Please note, this email is for prescription requests only, unless otherwise stated from a member of staff.

You can use SystmOnline to order your repeat prescriptions online to save coming into the surgery. Please ask the surgery for more information.

We cannot process these requests without clear instruction from the patient of which medication they need ordered, Written requests also need the medication name in order for us to process, e.g. "Ramipril" instead of "blood pressure tablets".

Please note that we no longer take prescription requests over the phone.

Please allow 48 hours for prescriptions from the time the surgery receives the request.

The maximum amount of medication given is for a period of two months.

Direct Prescribing

We have in place direct prescribing, ie prescription straight to the pharmacy.

If you have questions about your medicine or your prescription please contact the surgery.

Your local pharmacists can also answer any questions about your prescription. They can answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.
